APRESENTAÇÃO / PRESENTATION
Esta Conferência Internacional enquandra-se no âmbito das actividades desenvolvidas no projecto de investigação MRIR – “Memórias resgatadas, identidades (re)construídas: Experiências de escolarização, património e dinâmicas educativas locais” (Out.2018 – Apr. 2022), tendo e vista a construção de uma História e Memória da Educação na região do Pinhal Interior Sul (PIS).
Sediado no Instituto de Educação da Universidade de Lisboa, o Projecto MRIR envolve um conjunto de colaboradores locais (cidadãos, professores, investigadores e especialistas em história local) e parceiros institucionais (Universidades Seniores, Instituições de Ensino Superior, Autarquias e Associações de Desenvolvimento Local, Centros de Formação de Associação de Escolas), da zona geográfica do PIS (Concelhos de Mação, Proença-a-Nova, Sertã, Vila de Rei e Oleiros).
Através do resgate das histórias de vida e das memórias escolares ‘locais’, o Projecto MRIR visa, por um lado, contribuir para a criação de uma memória futura da escola em meio rural e, por outro, contribuir para o exercício de uma cidadania activa e para a construção de processos de ensino-aprendizagem ao longo da vida e fortemente enraizados na partilha intergeracional da memória e da cultura escolar.
Nesta conferência serão apresentados e discutidos os resultados deste processo de investigação realizado no território de baixa-densidade do PIS desde Outubro 2018 pelos membros da equipa do projecto MRIR, incluindo: 1) o resgate de testemunhos orais e escritos (por intermédio de entrevistas e autobiografias) junto da população sénior local; 2) a inventariação do património histórico local (material e imaterial) relacionado com a educação, o ensino e a escola em meio rural; 3) a produção de currículos de história local e organização de um programa de formação de professores envolvendo os cidadãos e os parceiros institucionais locais.
Para além dos membros da equipa e parceiros institucionais envolvidos no projecto MRIR (Universidade de Lisboa, Instituto Politécnico de Tomar, Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco), esta conferência contará com a participação de especialistas internacionais nas áreas da história da educação, cultura escolar e história pública. O programa da conferência reúne comunicações de oradores oriundos da Università degli Studi di Macerata, Università degli Studi del Molise, Università degli Studi di Firenze, Università degli Studi di Roma Tre, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano (Itália).
Em articulação com o projecto de investigação: “School Memories between Social Perception and Collective Representation” (Itália, 1861-2001), nesta Conferência Internacional organizada pelo Projecto MRIR serão abordados e discutidos (em palestras e mesas redondas) temas como: o espaço público da educação (António Nóvoa), memórias sociais e representações colectivas da escola (Roberto Sani), memória escolar e historiografia (Juri Meda), memória pública e educação pública (Alberto Barausse), fontes literárias, iconográficas e autobiográficas para a história e memória da educação (Stefano Oliviero, Chiara Lepri, Paolo Alfieri), municípios, histórias locais da educação e escola rural (Justino Magalhães), memória e património da educação em meio rural (Ana Isabel Madeira, António M. Martins Silva, Helena Cabeleira, Carlos Manique), património, lugares de cultura e paisagens culturais globais (Luiz Oosterbeek), história local e formação de professores (Ernesto Candeias Martins), currículos de história local (Clara Cruz, Raquel Pereira Henriques), Universidades Sénior, envelhecimento activo e aprendizagens intergeracionais (António Manuel Martins Silva, Carolina Carvalho).

This International Conference is part of the activities developed in the research project MRIR – “Rescued memories, (re)constructed identities: Schooling experiences, heritage and local educational dynamics” (Oct.2018 – Apr. 2022), aimed at the construction of a History and Memory of Education in the region of Pinhal Interior Sul (PIS).
Hosted by the Institute of Education of the University of Lisbon, Project MRIR involves a group of local collaborators (citizens, teachers, researchers and experts in local history) and institutional partners (Senior Universities, Higher Education Institutions, Municipalities and Local Development Associations, School Association Training Centres), in the geographical area of the PIS (Municipalities of Mação, Proença-a-Nova, Sertã, Vila de Rei and Oleiros).
Through the rescuing of life histories and memories about ‘local’ education and schooling, the Project MRIR aims, on the one hand, to contribute to the creation of a future memory of school in rural areas and, on the other hand, to contribute to the exercise of active citizenship and to the construction of lifelong teaching-learning processes, strongly rooted in the intergenerational sharing of memory and school culture.
In this conference we will present the results and discuss the outcomes from this research process carried out in the low-density territory of PIS by the team members of the Project MRIR since October 2018, including: 1) the rescue of oral and written testimonies (through interviews and autobiographies) among the local senior population; 2) the inventory of local heritage (material and intangible) related to education, teaching and schooling in rural areas; 3) the production of a local history curricula and organization of a teacher training program involving local citizens and institutional partners.
In addition to the team members and institutional partners involved in the Project MRIR (University of Lisbon, Polytechnic Institute of Tomar, Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco – Portugal), this conference includes the participation of international experts in the areas of history of education, school culture and public history. The conference programme brings together speakers from the Università degli Studi di Macerata, Università degli Studi del Molise, Università degli Studi di Firenze, Università degli Studi di Roma Tre, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano (Italy).
In conjunction with the research project: “School Memories between Social Perception and Collective Representation” (Italy, 1861-2001), at this International Conference organized by the Project MRIR the following topics will be addressed and discussed (in lectures and round tables): the public space of education (António Nóvoa), social memories and collective representations of school (Roberto Sani), school memory and historiography (Juri Meda), public memory and public education (Alberto Barausse), literary, iconographic and autobiographical sources for the history and memory of education (Stefano Oliviero, Chiara Lepri, Paolo Alfieri), municipalities, local histories of education and rural school (Justino Magalhães), memory and heritage of education in rural territories (Ana Isabel Madeira, António M.
